Adam Setzer was born about 1758 in what is now Catawba County, NC, died 29 August 1843 in Caldwell County, NC at 84 years of age, and is buried in Littlejohn Methodist Church cemetery, near Gamewell, Caldwell County, NC. He and Elizabeth (not sure) were married in early 1781 in Lincoln County, NC. Speculation is that Elizabeth's surname was eithe Arney, Lorance, or Harman. No Fact has been found to substantiate this. She was born about 1761, died 03 May 1849 at 86 years of age, and is buried in Littlejohn Methodist Church cemetery, Caldwell County, NC. Their known children were John; Jacob; Laurance; Mary; Adam, Jr; Daniel; Henry; William; David; Elizabeth; and Susan. References: 1790,1800,1810,1820, 1830, and 1840 Burke County, NC, censuses.
