Biography
When George Washington Sewell was born on November 17, 1852, in Coweta, Georgia, his father, John, was 32 and his mother, Martha, was 28.[1] He married Mary Catherine Sanders on December 20, 1881, in his hometown.[2] He died on April 17, 1909, in Cherokee, Alabama, at the age of 56, and was buried in Leesburg, Alabama.[3]
