Emily Eliza Sewell (married name Donvan) was born on 3 January 1855 in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Emily Eliza (Lee) Sewell and John Sewell.^{[citation needed]}

She married Jeremiah Donovan in 1879 in Victoria.^[1] Their son was:

• Dermot Avenel Donovan (1889–1936)^[2]

Emily died on 23 January 1943 in Rochester, Victoria.^[3]
