Thomas was born on October 6, 1913 in Loco Community, Texas where he attended school. He is the son of Ira Sexton and Annie McCarver. 1930, he married Stella Clark (possibly in Childress, TX). To this union, one son, Bill Sexton was born. They moved to Westview community between Hollis, Oklhoma and Dodson, Texas. He devoted his life to raising his family and farming. He died on April 3, 1992 in Lawton, Oklahoma and is buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Hollis, Harmon, Oklahoma.
In the 1930 census Thomas (age 16) was the single son of Ira Sexton in Precinct 3, Childress, Texas, United States.[1]

Thomas Nolan Sexton, 78, of Hollis, died Friday, April 3 in Lawton, OK.
Sexton was born October 6, 1913 to Ira and Annie Sexton at Loco.
He attended the Loco school.
He married Stella Clark in 1930 and they moved to the Westview community west of Hollis and farmed in that area until he retired.
Sexton was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Bill Sexton, Apache; one brother, Carl Sexton, Amarillo; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella, who died in August 1985.
