Biography

Mable was born 5 Jul 1914 in Clere, OK. She was the daughter of James Sexton and Mattie Vines. ^[1]

In 1920, Mable, 5, was living in Collin, TX with her parents, James M, 32, and Matti O, 31. Also in the household were Verdis R, 15, and Wolford, 7. She was born in Texas.^[2]

In 1930, Mable, 15, was living in Collin, TX with her stepbrother, W.V. Renfro, mother, Ola, 45, and brother, Walford, 18. She was born in OK.^[3]

Mable E. Sexton and Willard L. James were married 8 Feb 1932 in Denton, TX. ^[4]

In 1940, Mable James, 25, was living in Collin, TX with her husband Willard James, 26 and children, Joe Weldon, 6, and Bettye Lou, 1. In 1935, they lived in rural, Dallas, TX. Mabel was born in OK. Everyone else was born in Texas. Willard was a farmer.^[5]

Mrs. Mable James died 11 Feb 1946 in Plano, Collin, TX. She was married at the time. Mrs. Ola Sexton was the informant. Her cause of death was "prob miliary tbc - of lungs, mild cachexia, apical (rt) active tbc" (see note). ^[1]. She is buried in Big Springs Cemetery, Garland, Dallas, TX. Her husband, Willard, and son, Joe Weldon James are also buried there.^[6]
