Biography

Cass was born in 1903. He was the son of Robert Sexton and Rebecca Smith.[1]

In 1910, Cass Sexton, 8, was living in Upper Carr, Knott, KY with his parents, Robert, 41 and Rebecca, 49. Also in the household were Silvester, 18, Bud, 17, John, 16, Floyd, 14, Dewey, 11, and Cornal, 4. He was born in KY.[2]

In 1920, Cassie, 18, was living in Upper Carr, Knott, KY with his parents, Robert, 54, and Rebecca, 57 along with Kernel, 14.[3]

In 1930, Cas, 27, was living in East Whitesburg, Letcher, KY with his wife, Eva, 26. Also in the household were Berlin, 6, Maryland, 4, and Lester, 1. Cas was a laborer in the coal mines. Their house was rented for $6.[4]

Cas Sexton, 55, died 25 May 1959 in Whitesburg, Letcher, KY.[5] He was living in Thornton, KY at the time. He was married. He was a coal miner. His cause of death was carcinomatosis and carcinoma of the urinary bladder with generalized debilitation.[1] He was buried in Thornton Cemetery, Thornton, Letcher, KY. His tombstone has the dates 8 Sep 1903-25 May 1959.[6] .
