Zachariah Seymour was born at Hartford January 10, 1684/5, living there Feb 14 1754. He married Hannah Olmstead, daughter of Deacon Joseph Olmstead and Elizabeth (Butler) Olmstead. [1][2]

Zachariah was chosen Collector on the South Side of the Little River, 18 Dec. 1711. He was chosen, 20 Dec. 1720, one of the Inspectors to see that the act concerning the cutting of wood on the Commons be duly executed, and reappointed 1721, 1726, 1728, 1732, and 1739. He was chosen Selectman, 17 Dec. 1724. He was Surveyor of Highways, 6 Dec. 1743, and one of the Inspectors of Wood. He was Sergeant of the Hartford Train Band. He and his wife were admitted to the South Church, 23 June 1723. [1]
