Edward Seymour BA MA was born in Ireland.


Edward was born in about 1831. He was the son of Edward Seymour and Margaret Roe.

Edward was educated at Trinity College, Dublin. He graduated with a B.A. in 1852 and an M.A. in 1856. He wrote a book Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin published by Hodges, Foster, and Company, Grafton-Street in 1869.

He was admitted ' comitatis causa' on 4 June, 1863, preb. of St. Michaels, Dublin 1866-72. He was the Canon of Christ Church, Dublin, Ireland.

Rev. Edward Seymour, who was appointed Canon in 1874, and Precentor in 1876. He retired in 1883.[1]

His father passed away in 1870 and his mother in 1878. He was executor of both their estates.

He married his cousin Anne Frances Kane on 22 October 1874 in Bath, Somerset, England.[1]

They had at least four children:

Hobart William Theodore Rudolph Seymour
Mary Catherine Margaret

Edward passed away in 1908 at the age of 77. [2]

His son Hobart was killed in the 1st World War.
