Biography

Pharmacist, prominent local businessman involved in grocery, hardware, real estate and other endeavors. Conducted the Seymour opera house in Mt. Morris, NY. Prominent Democrat, post master general. Member Masonic Lodge.

Ethel Ostrander was his second marriage. First wife = Mary Elizabeth Curtis. [Mr Seymour was twice married his first wife being Mary Elizabeth Curtis of Rochester and his second wife who survives him Ethel Constance Ostrander of Lyons]

Died unexpectedly after surgery for a urinary bladder problem. A fatal termination was not anticipated but he was unable to stand the effects of the operation and he gradually failed until the end came.

Founder of the LIVINGSTON CLUB: "This club was organized in April 1892 by Norman A Seymour with several other gentlemen being satisfied that our beautiful village should have some place for social and literary intercourse met and organized the above club securing three large rooms in the Eagle Block on Main street"
