I found two wives for John. Ellen Elizabeth Knox and Emma V. Unknown. He did have another wife because he had a daughter named Leila in the 1900 census, and the child wasn't Emma's. Leila was born in 1889. I believe the Mary (daughter-in-law) listed in this 1880 census is actually the wife of John's older brother Samuel. His wife was named Mary Rebecca Twilley, and they married in January of 1880.
I am going to remove Mary as a wife of John and merge her with the profile of Mary Twilley.
Capt John W Seymour was mentioned on a memorial in Spring Hill Cemetery, Easton, Talbot County, Maryland, United States with a death date of 12 September 1925.[1]
