Joseph 'Joe' Samuel Shackelford was born on November 27, 1929, in Deemer, Mississippi to Roger L. and Alma V. (Johnson) Shackelford.^[1] He married Mrs. Grace (Yates) Harrington Bartos (1929–1992) about 1955. He died on February 7, 2002,^[2] at the age of 72.^[3]
