DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Andreas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Andreas:
1. The church record that is linked to that is presumably supposed to represent Andreas's baptism is from a Catholic church in Württemberg. The vast majority of Germans coming to Pennsylvania in this time period were Protestants. Andreas's children were baptized by a Lutheran minister in Pennsylvania.
2. The birth date on this profile is 1732 while the baptism record says 1725.
3. This profile states that Andreas was born in Aug in Upper Bavaria. Very few people from this part of modern-day Germany came to the American colonies in this time period. Also, the church record is from Württemberg.
Based on the above (unless someone has further information), I would suggest that Andreas be removed as a child of Christianus Schadt and Anna Maria Bachmann, that his birthdate be changed to "about 1725," and that his birthplace be removed.
