Evidence has been presented by a Washburn researcher, that suggests the dau. of Hendrik and Marytje Schever of Albany, married a different man, not Nathaniel Washburn of Dutchess Co., but Petrus Helm in Ulster Co.
Christening Place FIRST DUTCH REFORMED CHURCH,ALBANY,ALBANY,NEW YORK
Father's Name Hendrik Schuver
Mother's Name Maria
Family
From "Nathaniel Washburn An American Pioneer":
Nathaniel and Christina (Shafer) Washburn had several children. We can reconstruct the family, only from physical proximity and the names given their grandchildren. In the order of their birth, it is fairly certain that the Washburn children were named: [3]
Joseph
John
Patience
Susanna
Parmenas
Anna Barbara
Maria
Ebenezer
James
Abraham
Sarah
At least four of which, are recorded in the "Records of the Baptisms of the Reformed Church at Mackackemeck" (Deer Park), Minisink Valley, Orange Co., NY,[4] including:
Patience, born October 12, 1768, baptized September 22, 1771, daughter of Nathaniel Wasburg and Christina Scheever. [5]
Anna Barbara, they are shown as Christina Shafer, wife of Nathaniel Washburn, in the baptism of dau. Anna Barbar(a), 14 June 1775, in the "Records of the Baptisms of the Reformed Church" (New York) p. 32.
(and in an obviously less literate hand),
Ebenezer, shown as Cristina Shaver, wife of Nathannel Warsbon, in the baptism of son Abeneser (Ebenezer), 9 July 1777, this time specifically from the "Baptisms of the Reformed Church at Mackackemeck (Deerpark)", (New York), p. 141.
Marcia, the parents are shown as Cristina Shever, wife of "Noah" or Nathaniel Wasborn, in the baptism of daughter Marcia, Nov. 25, 1776.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Christina by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Christina:
Shafer-609 and Shriver-119 appear to represent the same person because: It seems these Christina's are clearly intended to be the same person. Does anyone have evidence for the LNAB, Shafer or Shriver? The m. date on Shriver of 1738 is obviously incorrect (b4 she was b.). Would one or both of the PM's please respond?
Thank you.

It appears we should use Shafer-609 as the final profile.
Thank you.
