Biography
Mary Ann was the eldest daughter of John M. and Mary Dolly (Smith) Shaffer. She married Robert D. Hardy on December 29, 1842 in Perry Co., AL. They were the parents of three children, two of whom are buried near her: Mary Hardy, John Lemuel Hardy and Benjamin Sutton Hardy.
