Ann was born in 1694 and christened January 13, 1694/5 in Ipsley, Warwickshire, England, the daughter of Thomas Shakespeare and Jane (Unknown) Shakespeare. A transcription of her baptism record reads as follows: bap 1694 Jan 13 Ann d Thos & Jane Shakesby" ^[1] No further records of her life have been located.

Ann had two siblings:

1. William was baptized Febuary 1, 1696/7 in Studley, Warwickshire, England. A transcription of his baptism record reads as follows: "bap 1696 Feb 1 Wm s. Thos & Jane Shakes. at Studley."^[2] It is not clear why he was baptized in Studley. Records of any marriage, children, and his death, have not yet been located.
   
2. Elizabeth was baptized May 27, 1702 in Ipsley, Warwickshire, England. ^[3] No further records pertaining to Elizabeth have yet been located.
