Margaret Shakespeare was the second child of John Shakespeare, glover, of Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, and his wife Mary Arden.
She was baptised on 2 December 1562 at Holy Trinity, Stratford, and entered in the parish register in Latin as "Margareta filia Johannis Shakspere."[1][2]
She died soon after birth. Like her elder sister Joan, she possibly died during the severe typhus and influenza epidemics of the late 1550s.[2]
She was buried at Holy Trinity, Stratford, on 30 April 1563.[3][4]
