She was baptised on 28 September 1571 at Holy Trinity, Stratford, and entered in the parish register in Latin as "Anna filia magistri Shakspere."
She died at age eight. Her cause of death is not known, but is possibly connected to an epidemic that had broken out in October 1578.
She was buried at Holy Trinity, Stratford, on 4 April 1579. The Chamberlain's accounts for 1579 record that her father paid eight pence for the bell and pall at her funeral. The item in the accounts is described "for bell and pall for Mr. Shaxpers dawghter" and the fee of eight pence was the highest in the list.
