Biography

James Henry Shanahan was born about 1873 in South Melbourne, Colony of Victoria, Australia. He was the son of James Andrew Shanahan and Sarah Anne Joyce^[1].

In 1912 Margaret Ellen Cogan, aged 44, married James Henry Shanahan in Melbourne, Victoria.^[2]Margaret and James did not have any children.

Margaret Ellen Shanahan passed away on 1 September 1952 in Malvern, Victoria.^[3] Margaret was buried at the Melbourne General Cemetery on 3 September 1952.^[4]

James Henry Shanahan passed away on 22 August 1955 at the Caulfield Convalescent Hospital^[5] and he was buried at the Melbourne General Cemetery on 23 August 1955^[6].
