Biography

Annie Gertrude was born in 1904. Annie Gertrude Shannon in Saint John, N.B. Canada.. Her parents are Joseph Shannon and Agnes Kerrigan. Ann was the 4th child of 11 children, being the 2nd oldest daughter. Ann was raised in the North End of Saint John, living on the Straight Shore (Chesley St.) and Harrison Street. Ann and family attended St. Peter's Church on Douglas Ave. Saint John. Ann worked as a book binder before her marriage. Annie married Harvey Johnston Nov 3 1925 in Saint John, N.B. They raised 9 children. In the late 50's Annie and Harvey moved to their new home in Lorneville, N.B. She passed away Dec 14 1985.
