Biography
Leslie was born July 11, 1839. He is the son of Isaac Shannon and Isaac's second wife, Rachel Reed. In 1850, Leslie is living with his aunt Jane (Isaac's older sister and her husband William Reed in Green Twp. Harrison County, OH.
Leslie's father, Isaac, died in 1848, and his mother Rachel Reed must also be dead before 1850 since he is only 10 on the census and living with the Reed family. The Census lists Leslie with real estate valued at 1200.
By 1880, Leslie had served in the Civil War as a soldier from Ohio.
He passed away in 1922.
