Biography
Catherine was born in 1828. She was the daughter of Thomas Shannon and Maria or Mariah Thompson.
In 1855, she married George Grier Ritchie in Holmes County, Ohio, and they had at least six children; Maria Isabella Ritchie 1856-1948, William Shannon Ritchie 1857-1953, Thomas Porter Shannon 1859-1942, James Logue Ritchie, 1861-1936, Mary Jane Ritchie 1865-1952, and George Alexander Ritchie 1869-1937.
Catherine passed away in 1908 and was buried in Stow Cemetery, Summit County, Ohio.
