Henry Clay Shannon was born in Apr 1842 in Tennessee, United States, son of Robert Henry Shannon.

Henry (~26) married Mariah Carney (~25) in 1868 in Arkansas. Their children were:

  3. John Calvin Shannon
  4. Robert Nathan Shannon
  5. Charles Shannon
  6. Arthur B Shannon
  7. Hayden Henry Shannon.

Henry (~42) married Lettie Finn Ragan (30) on 13 Nov 1884 in Izard, Arkansas[1]. Their children were:

  1. Rosa Rachel (Shannon) Harris
  2. William H Shannon
  3. Lillie Florence (Shannon) Smith
  4. Stella (Shannon) Mankin
  5. Hulda Shannon
  6. Tennie Lee (Shannon) Clark
  7. Delbert Shannon.

Henry died about 9 Feb 1908 in Arkansas aged ~65. He is buried in Lunenburg Cemetery, Lunenburg, Arkansas.
