DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
I have tried a number of times to contact you ; to become a trusted source on the numerous "Sharp/e" (and associated) profiles that you manage. However, as my attempted contacts have been fruitless, I then started to review just where our ancestry lines crossed and I found out that it was here with John Sharpe (1796-1832) (WikiTree -- Sharpe1287). This leads me to believe that we may not necessarily share ancestry.
I have doubts that your ancestry is actually connected to this particular John Sharp/e. Sorry!
Based on your own data records (in this profile); this John Sharpe was born in Maulden, Beds, England, in 1796. He then married Sarah Mary Anderson in 1827 (still in Maulden), and died in Maulden in 1832.
If these facts are true (and I am happy to believe that they are), then, how did John and Sarah manage to give birth to a daughter (Sarah Ann Sharp) in 1825, in Ohio, in the USA? Transport just wasn't that good in those days.
What evidence did you have to link your Sarah Ann Sharpe with this particular John Sharp?
In an attempt to assist: I have gone back through my Sharp/e data base and I have located six John Sharpe/s,, but there may have been many more on 'twigs' that I have not investigated, as they were not on my direct line. Their birth dates being; (oldest to newest).. 1616: 1701: 1733: 1798: 1833: 1860 (born in Australia).
Please let me know if you believe that I am wrong, I know that I am not infallible.
Kenneth hasn't made any contributions since Apr 2017
I share your doubts that these are the parents of the Ohio born daughter
