Thomas was baptised on 6 May 1798 in Leake, York, England. He was the son of Joseph Sharpe and Mary Sharpe.[1]
When Thomas was 22 he married Hannah Smelt on 3 June 1820 in Leake, Yorkshire, England. The couple had one child: John Sharp.[2]
