Biography

Daniel Washington Sharp was born on Sep 28, 1809 in Rowan County, North Carolina, USA. He is the oldest son of Captain Abraham Sharp and Dorothy "Dolly" Murr. He first married Barbara Jacobs (1809-1857) on Sep 24, 1835. His second wife was Sophia Angeliss (Angeline) Little (born in Davie County, North Carolina). Daniel Sharp's Grandfather and Grandmother, Daniel and Elizabeth Sharp were sponsors at Daniel Washington Sharp's baptism on Apr 15, 1819 that probably took place at the Saint Luke's Lutheran Church, Tyro, Davidson County (then Rowan), North Carolina.[2]
