Biography

Christened at Ashford 29 July 1812, daughter of William and Jane Sharp. I suspect, however, that this 'Jane' is actually Ann, named at christenings of other children as 'Nance', and that Eliza is identical with the Eliza Sharp recorded at High Halden in 1841 with father William Sharp and four siblings. The mother of these siblings was named at their christenings as either Ann or Nance. Eliza was living with James Noakes at Warehorne in 1851, 36, housekeeper. She may be the Eliza Sharp whose death was registered at Tenterden in 1852.
