Lieutenant Arthur Sharpe was Killed in Action during World War I.

He enlisted as a private on 7 August 1914 and obtained a commission as 2nd Lt in January 1915 and was promoted Lieut Feb 1916.[3] Arthur, a Lieutenant in the 5th Battalion, Duke of Wellington's ( West Riding) Regiment was killed in action on 3 September 1916, France & Flanders. [4][5] He is buried in the Mill Road Cemetery Thiepval.[6][7]
