Biography

Minnie Lee Sharpe was born 31 January 1880 in Georgia, the daughter of Aaron Sharpe and Mary Ann Wilkes Sharpe[1]. In 1880 she lived with her parents in Montgomery County, Georgia[2].

She married John Wallace Crosby 5 January 1893 in Montgomery County[3][4].

They lived in Holmes County, Florida, with children Ollie, Pearl, and Dewey[5]. In 1910, they lived in Helena, Telfair County, Georgia, with their children Ollie L., Ethel P., John D., and Minnie's brothers John A. Sharpe and Willie H. Sharpe[6].

She was named next of kin on her husband John's World War II draft registration[7].

By 1930, she and John were living in Alston, Montgomery County, Georgia with their daughter Minnie W. with them[8].

She died 28 November 1938 of a ruptured duodenal ulcer[1], and was buried in Cedar Crossing United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cedar Crossing, Toombs County, Georgia[9].
