Amelia's birth and death dates come from her grave marker. Her maiden name comes from the death certificate of her daughter Juliann Foskey.
Amelia was the second wife of Noah D. Tison. They married before 1833 (the year Juliann was born), probably in Washington County, Georgia where Noah headed a census household in 1830. In that census, the oldest female was too old to be Amelia but the age is right for the older female in his 1840 household.
After Noah's death in 1880, Millie Tison was on the Johnson County tax list in 1881 with no polls and 10 acres of land; and again in 1886 with no land or polls but other taxable personal property.
