In the 1943 Electoral Rolls for Oakey, Mervyn James Sharpe, ganger, and Kathleen Sharpe, home duties, are registered at Kingsthorpe.[5] In the same year in the Helidon rolls they are registered with the same details at Perseverance, via Hampton.[6]
In 1946, Mervyn married Olive Margaret Stanley.[7]
In 1952, in giving evidence in relation to a road accident, Mervyn stated he was a married man residing at Mulgildie and employed as a truck driver by A. V. Ferguson, road contractor. At July 1952, he was carting gravel from Splinter Creek along the Monto-Eidsvold road to the new Monto-Mulgildie road.[8]

1954 Eidsvold - Milgeldie, truck driver

Prior to his death, in the 1963 electoral rolls for Toowoomba North, Mervyn James Sharpe, labourer and Olive Margaret Sharpe, are registered as at 7 Alice Street.[9]
Research Notes
Mervyn's birth year is taken from the index record for his service record in the National Archives of Australia. It is proximate to the implied birth year from his Find A Grave record.
It is assumed that the two marriages for Mervyn James Sharpe relate to the same person. They are likely on a chronology where Mervyn remarries after the death of his first spouse and that there are no other Mervyn James Sharpe's identified in a search of the Queensland Births Deaths and Marriages Register.
