Emma Belle Shaw was born 11 Jul 1895, in Shandon, San Luis Obispo County, California. She is a daughter of Daniel Shaw and Carrie Howell. [1]
She married Roy Edwin Kester, 29 Sep 1917 in San Luis Obispo, San Luis Obispo County, California.
In April 1950, Emma was Widowed, living in Paso Robles, San Luis Obispo County, California. Living with her was her daughter, Carol. [2]
Emma passed away 04 Jun 1981, in San Luis Obispo County, California. [3] She is buried in the Shandon Cemetery, Shandon, San Luis Obispo County, California. [4]
Research Notes
- Her gravestone has last name as Johnson. I have no knowledge of a marriage to Johnson. Her husband Roy Kester died in 1940. Emma lived to 1981. The just released 1950 Census, has Emma as widowed, with daughter Carol living with her. Have been checking for this Johnson marriage but have yet located any online documentation. If anyone has any information on this, please contribute. Thank you.
