Biography

Ruth was born in 1845. Her parents are unknown.

In 1850 she was 5 and living with Boylston Shaw and Eliza Hamlin in Ohio. ^[1]

In 1860 she was 15 and living with Boylston Shaw and Eliza Hamlin in Ohio. ^[2]

She married William Glen Adney in 1865. ^[3]

They had a daughter Mary, born in 1869 in Ohio ^[4], that married in 1900. ^[5]

In 1870 they were living in Ohio with two young children. Edwin T born about 1868 and Mary born in 1869. ^[6]

In 1870 Ruth was living with her two children, Edwin and Mary, in North Carolina. She was listed as married but her husband was not listed with rest of family on this census. ^[7]

She passed away in 1911.

Buried in Saint Bartholomews Episcopal Church Cemetery, Pittsboro, North Carolina. ^[8]
