James died intestate and on 22 May 1746, Faith was granted the administration of his estate.[1]
His inventory was taken on 8 July 1746 in Plimton.[2]
In 1747, an account of his estate was recorded.[3]
In 1747, his widow Faith received some necessary items from his estate.[4]
In 1748, his minor daughter, Mehitabel Shaw made the choice for his widow, Faith to be her guardian..[5][6]
In 1749, his widow was appointed guardian of his minor son Lemuel.[7]
In 1749, real estate that remained undisposed was recorded in Plymouth.[8]
An account of the estate is recorded, including the sale of land and estate charges.[9]
In 1750, with the settlement of James' estate, his son, Ephraim Shaw received possession of real estate as long as Ephraim made payments to the rest of James' children, viz., James Shaw, Mehitabel Shaw, Faith Shaw, and Lemuel Shaw.[10]
