Harry Shaw was born about 1865, son of John Shaw of Sheffield.

In the 1871 census Harry (age 6) was the son of John Shaw in Ecclesall Bierlow, Yorkshire, England.^[1]

Alice Rout married Henry Wharton Shaw on 17 November 1892 in New Zealand^[2]

Henry died on 12 February 1909, he was a victim of the 1909 SS Penguin Sinking^[3]This person was mentioned in the Free Lance on 20 February 1909 in Wellington, New Zealand.^{[4][5][6][7][8][9]}
