Notes

Guardianship: probate docket #17923 (his father died when he was 7, his mother died when he was 10). Ebenezer A. Shaw, husband of his sister Sarah, petitioned for guardianship. His older sisters, Sarah and Emma, assented to the guardianship.

Although the 1870 census shows Erastus as family #813, he was actually in the household of his brother-in-law, Ebenezer (listed on the previous page).

In the 1920 census as Earrtus B. Shaw. In the 1900 census as Earsten P. Shaw.
