Biography
Mary Shaw married Daniel Elmer on 28 September 1761 in Cumberland County, New Jersey.
Their children:
Mary (Shaw) Elmer married her second husband Noah Lummis (1735 -1799).
She wrote her will in 1824 naming grandson Daniel Elmer and other relatives.
She is buried in Old Stone Church Cemetery, Fairton. Her tombstone reads ""This stone is erected as a memorial of Mary Shaw Successively the wife of Daniel Elmer and Manoah Lummis. She died October 9th, 1824, in the 84th year of her age."[1]
Research Notes
There are Ancestry trees but no source that she was a daughter of Carll Shaw, whose 1750 will names a daughter Mary.
Alternately, there is a 31 Aug 1740 baptism record in Pittsgrove for Mary Shaw, daughter of of Nathan and Mary Shaw.[2]
