Lydia Shaw was born on December 30, 1755, in Carver, Massachusetts, to Elkanah Shaw and Elizabeth Atwood.[1][2] She married Joseph Shaw on April 25, 1776, in Middleborough, Massachusetts.[3] They had 12 children during their marriage, including Elkanah Shaw.[4] She died on July 30, 1813, in Carver, at the age of 57, and was buried there in Lakenham Cemetery.[5]
