Biography
Cynthia Ann Shay was born on November 23, 1857, in Bedford, Taylor County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Joshua Shay and Sarah Milledge.[1][2][3]
By 1870, when she was 12 years old, her family had settled in Wilson County, Kansas.[4] Cynthia was still living with her parents in Wilson County at the age of 22 in 1880.[5]
On October 20, 1891, Cynthia married Henry Jenkins, a Welshman, in Denver, Colorado.[6] This couple lived in Arapaho County, Colorado, and had at least two children.[7]
Cynthia died on September 11, 1920, in Denver, Colorado. [8]
