Biography
Julia Shea was born 15 Nov 1859 (Based On Other Date Information), and baptized 15 Nov 1859 in Dromod, child of Michael Shea and Joanna Dillagh of Tullig. Sponsored by: Patrick Geran, Mary Dillagh.[1]
On 20 Feb 1887 at St Finian's Spunkane in the Registrar's District of Emilegh and Union of Caherciveen in the County of Kerry, the marriage took place of Patrick Keating, full age, a bachelor and farmer of Carhan Upper, son of Thomas Keating, farmer, and Julia Shea, full age, a spinster and — of Tullig, daughter of Michael Shea, farmer, witnessed by John O’Sullivan, Patrick Sheehan.[2][3]
Julia Keating appeared in the 1901 census of Ireland at House 2 in Tullig, Emlagh, Kerry, age 40, born Co Kerry, occupation farmer, as head of family.[4]
Julia Keating died 08 Apr 1939 at The Hospital, Caherciveen, age 79, widow, occupation: widow of farmer. The death was registered by Eileen O’Connell, Occupier, present at death, of The Hospital, Caherciveen, on 12 Apr 1939.[5]
Julia Keating died 08 Apr 1939 and is commemorated at St Finian's Old & New Cemetery, Waterville,Kerry, Ireland.[6]
