Genealogy has been a passion since 1992. I love to connect with relatives and help others with their research.

More recently, I have developed an avid interest in utilizing DNA as a tool to prove familial relationships. I encourage others who have tested to upload to Gedmatch as I have done (T498657).

Please feel free to message me if you believe we share ancestors or feel I might be able to help your research in some way.

Jana, do you happen to speak any other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add

{{ Languages | en | ro-2 | he-1 }}

to the top of your biography if you speak English natively, intermediate Rumanian and basic Hebrew, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-2 for intermediate Russian, and so forth up to ten languages.

It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree! If there is a language you speak that is missing from our categories, I would be happy to add it. If you only speak English, you're very welcome to use this text to make that clear:

{{ Languages | en }}

Thank you so much for the explanation. =) Yes John Phelps and I share dna from what we found out, so that makes sense. I really enjoy learning all of this, and once I feel better, I will read up on it. Thanks again.

Hi =) You edited my Dean and Vanlandingham grandparents. What does this mean please? ((H5h mtDNA Haplogroup)). I've had my DNA tested, but I'm still learning. I also see we are 9th cousins through my dad's side (Campbells).

Thank you! I suppose in the mean time we can just add the women to the haplo group category on the profiles of the Updike women.

Thanks for joining Jewish Roots project. Instructions to connect with people and for badges and suggestions for helping people research are in our roots project's page.

In my case, it's my paternal GF who is the Jewish carrier of the Roots. I loved finding out about my nearly quarter of those Roots, through an auDNA test. See the test and other testers at Hilse-40.

Welcome to our group!!

Jana, I just read your question re why adult baptism: In the course of present church life, it states an alliegance to others who go to the same church. For us,here, finding a record with a source is required, and that is a treasure.
