CHARLES A. SHEARER

Charles A. Shearer, 85, Glen Rock R.D. 2, died yesterday at 10 a.m. at York Hospital where he was a patient for 12 days.

He was a retired farmer and husband of the late Mrs. Mellie Dubbs Shearer. He was a member of Greenmount EUB Church, near Jefferson, and resided in that area most of his life.

Surviving are three children, Mrs. John J. Bowman, Glen Rock R.D. 2, with whom he resided; Mrs. Edna S. Rohrbaugh, Jefferson, and Andrew R. Shearer, York; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Bernard E. Fogle. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 4 to 8 p.m.
