Archibald was born in December 1882 at Palmers Island, Clarence River, and his birth was registered at MacLean in 1883 (NSWRG ref No. 14840). He was the son of Henry Sheather and Catherine McKenzie. Archibald was killed in action 12th August, 1918, aged 35 years. He was in the 41st Batn., Australian Infantry, service Number 1899. Archibald is buried in Heath cemetery, Harbonnieres, France, and the location of his grave is Plot 11, Row H, Grave 17.
