Emily was born in 1871. She was the daughter of Frederick Sheather and Sarah Funnell. In 1902, Emily married William Cook at Gundagai, New South Wales, Australia. In 1932, Emily married Martin Murnane at Gundagai, New South Wales, Australia. She passed away in 1958, and she is buried in the East suburbs memorial Park cemetery, in Marraville, Randwick City, New South Wales, Australia.
