Biography

In 1851 John Hayes Sheehan was born in Ireland, the son of Thomas Sheehan (1805-1870) and Hanorah Hayes. On 9 June 1851 he was baptised in Reavouler, with sponsors Peter Sullivan and Mary Dempsy.[1]

On 10 May 1888 Julia O'Brien and John Sheehan were married in New Zealand. [2]

In 1903 John and Julia ware farming at Glanmire Farm, St Andrews. [4]

Electoral Rolls place them in Timaru from 1914 to 1928.

On 29 September 1927 John Hayes Sheehan passed away, aged 75 .[5]

On 12 March 1889 Thomas Sheehan was born to Julia and John Sheehan. [6]

This is not the same: Paperspast state that a Thomas Sheehan who died at Napier was the 4th son of Mary and the late William Sheehan. On 29 March 1907 Thomas Sheehan passed away, aged 17.
