Biography
Mary Sheehan was born around 1800-1810 in Nova Scotia to John Sheehan and Bridget Shea.
She married Nicholas Power in 1828 in Prospect, Halifax County,[1] at which time both sets of parents were said to be from Herring Cove.
They had one known child together, Mary Anne born in January 1829 in Herring Cove.[2]
Research Notes
Her date of birth is a guess, based on husband Nicholas Power being born around 1800. Her place of birth of Nova Scotia is presumed based on the 1891 census entry of daughter Mary Anne (Power) Lynch.[3]
Mary died young on an unknown date - husband Nicholas was remarried to second wife Alice Fitzgerald and having children by about 1836.
