Henrietta Charlotte Sheldahl was born on 18 May 1898 at Huxley, Iowa.[1] She was the daughter of Absalom Haldorsson and Isabelle (Tesdahl) Sheldahl. She was confirmed at the Palestine Church in 1912. She graduated from Huxley High School and worked at the Huxley Bank. Henrietta married S. Edward Helland on 6 February 1922 in Eagle Grove, Iowa.[2] They had one son. They farmed in Polk and Story Counties, retiring on 1 March 1954 to Huxley. They were members of the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley. Henrietta lived in the Bethany Manor Home in Story City, Iowa, in the last years of her life. She died on 27 March 1989 in Cambridge, Iowa.[3]
