Thomas Sheldon was one of 7 children of Ralph Sheldon and in 1587 married Elizabeth Hoby, daughter of Richard Hoby of Badsey, north of Broadway, co. Worcester. Mary Sheldon, a younger daughter of Thomas Sheldon, married William Sambache of Broadway.
"William [Sheldon] built a new manor house in 1625 [at Broadway], only a short distance from the original which appears subsequently to have been occupied by William Sambache, who had married William's cousin Mary, the daughter of Thomas SHELDON (III). . ."
Thomas Sheldon and John Braughing were returned as Members for Worcester, Worcestershire, on Dec. 29, 1641. Thomas Sheldon's daughter Mary was left a legacy of 6 pounds 13 shillings 4 pence in the will of her grandfather, Ralph Sheldon, who also left legacies for Thomas Sheldon's sons Ralpah and Thomas.
Thomas Sheldon in later years settled at an inherited property at Childswickam, near Broadway, Worcestershire.
