In 1920, Benjamin was 10 years old. His brothers, James H. 13 (born in South Carolina) and Matheson, 16 (born in South Carolina). [3]
In the 1940 census, Elizabeth and Benjamin were living in Bethesda/Chevy Chase, (Montgomery County) Maryland. It states their place of residence was the District of Columbia. Elizabeth, their daughter, is listed as being 1 year old. A maid named Mary Flint, negro, age 44. She was born in South Carolina. [4]
In 1950, Elizabeth and Benjamin were living in Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee. [5]
