Elizabeth was born about 1621 in England, the daughter of Edward and Violet (Charnould) Shepard. "a record in Mistley, Essex, shows "Elizabeth Sheeppard, daughter of Edward Sheeppard and Violett was baptized Nov. 4, 1621"^[1][2]

2. John, the Son of Thweights & Elizabeth Strickland was borne the 17th of the 12th month 1648 that is 17 Feb 1649 bapt 5 May 1650 as in Jacobus article. John marr 1 Sep 1676 to Esther Smith, dau of Richard of Wethersfield.

4. Joseph Strickland, b. January 22, 1654/5

Elizabeth married second before 1 Sep 1670 to Nicholas Disborough when Nicholas was granted administration of the estate of deceased Thwaite Strickland.

"Gregory Wolterton gave 30 acres in Hartford to Elizabeth Disboro for life and then to go to her sons, John, Joseph, Jonathan and Ephraim Strickland on 30 June 1674 (17 days before he made his will)" The Strickland brothers sold the land on 5 Feb 1683/4 with consent of eliz. Disbrow. ^[4]

Nicholas died before 31 Aug 1683 when inventory of his estate was taken. Administration of Nicholas' estate was granted to his stepson Joseph Strickland. [Manwaring's Digest 1:298]

Elizabeth gave consent to her sons selling land in Feb 1683/4.

Death

Elizabeth Shepard died March 30, 1694 at Hartford, Hartford , Connecticut ^{[citation needed]}
