Eliza (Shephard) Taylor was born in Derbyshire, England.

Eliza was born in 1847. Her parents were John Shephard and Mary Mallinder. ^[1] She was christened on 10 April 1847 at Killamarsh, Derbyshire.^[2]

In 1851 and 1861 Eliza lived with her parents and siblings at Killamarsh, Derbyshire. ^[3][4]

Eliza married William Taylor on 21 September 1867 at Killamarsh, Derbyshire.^[5]

In 1871 they had two children and were living at Low Common, Killamarsh, Derbyshire with Eliza's parents. ^[6]

They continued to live in Killamarsh, Derbyshire as their family increased and their children grew up and left home. William worked as a coal miner and then later as a labourer at the gas works.^[7][8][9]

She passed away in 1904, age 57.^[10]
